It's Restaurant Week!

Posted on Friday, January 22nd, 2010 | 9 Comments

Today is the first day of Kansas City's inaugural Restaurant Week! The first round of $15 lunches will be hitting tables across KC in just a few short hours.

While you're eating your way through the city, we'd love to hear from you: submit your yummiest food photos to us on Facebook (that is, if you can lay off the dish long enough to snap a picture), chat about your plans with us on Twitter, and get in here and comment away. It'll keep you busy until your next meal.

Happy eating!

There are so many fabulous places listed! But Lidias is where I would recommend unless you arent up for Italian, it is absolutely fantastic! I am so hungry after reading that list! LOL What a great way to raise money for such a great cause.

J. Gilberts for me tonight and I plan to calm and collectively order off the HUGE $30 Restaurant Week menu - the final choice may come down to a coin flip. A local flatbed car hauler service has been notified and will be on call should I happen to overindulge.

We had dinner last night at the American. Everything was wonderful but I recommend the pork dumpling, Campo Lindo chicken and the de-cake-struction. I also had lunch today at Cafe Sebastienne and the spinach salad with Applewood smoked bacon & poached farm egg was fabulous. We look forward to taking advanage of more great restaurants and their wonderful menus throughout the rest of the week!

Thanks for bringing to KC and sponsoring...glad to contribute to Harvesters, I just hope others are bringing home doggy bags also. Saturday night attempt was almost a bust- Zest could not take party of two and tried to wait but too long, no bar seating avaial. But went to North instead and bingo! Awesome - lots of food starting from the Zuchini Chips and through great desserts- tried it all and brought home. Winner was the grilled artichokes and Salmon over butternut squash! mediocre flank steak- cooked well but not a good cut of meat- better stay away from that one unless I was just unlucky with a more fatty cut. Sitting at Bar is cool and active - good wines- like Terazo size. Nice work Justin. Try it out if hunting for new KC RR menu is diverse.
